Minor Oral Surgery

minor-oral-surgery

There may be occasions when minor surgery is required to resolve particular problems. Examples might include: removal of severely damaged teeth that cannot be saved, problematic wisdom teeth or bone supplementation techniques to prepare a foundation for dental implants.

Extensive planning and access to advanced diagnostic equipment such as cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) allows us to keep intervention to the minimum.

We take every step to maintain your comfort before, during and after procedures. There are many aspects of your care where we can help and advise to enable you to return to normal activities as quickly as possible.

PRGF (Plasma rich in growth factors)

The optional use of PRGF has research to support its use in many treatment plans and, in our experience, post-operative comfort and healing are significantly improved. Further information can be found here:

For more complex procedures, we are very fortunate to have a specialist maxillofacial oral surgeon, Dr Anna Fekete, as part of our team. This can usually avoid the need for external referrals and lengthy waiting times.

Intra-venous sedation can also be arranged if you feel this would help you and it is medically appropriate.

Please contact us to arrange a consultation and see how we can help.
